Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children, also known as WIC, is a federally funded program which provides the following at no cost to the participant.
Clinical & Nutrition Services
We offer a range of services to promote community health, including maternal and child health, nutritional counseling, and immunization, to support the well-being of our county.
Wellness Programs
We conduct wellness programs including educational workshops, family planning education, mental health resources, and initiatives to promote healthy lifestyles.
Community Health Planning & Statistics
We continually assess and report on the health of our county and identify areas for health improvement.
Environmental Public Health
We monitor environmental conditions and respond to health emergencies. Services include water sampling, facility inspections, and food hygiene evaluation.
Emergency Preparedness & Response
We promote emergency planning for residents, and we collaborate with local agencies in response to emergencies and natural disasters.
Infectious Disease Services
We provide comprehensive programs to prevent, detect, and manage communicable diseases such as HIV, tuberculosis, and sexually transmitted diseases.
